Wendy Wood Memorial Rodeo Supporting children with special needs—this is a professional rodeo produced by Sky9 Events and sanctioned by the RMPRA.

Wendy, daughter of Marilyn and Matt Wood, was injured in a horse riding accident at the age of five. The accident resulted in head injuries and weakness on her right side, affecting her ability to compete in rodeo, though it never diminished her passion for the sport. Despite Wendy's inability to participate, Marilyn and Matt remained active in the rodeo community with their other children, and We

ndy's enthusiasm for rodeo never waned. Tragically, Wendy passed away just two weeks after graduating from Cedar High School. In honor of her unwavering love for rodeo, the Cedar City Rodeo Committee decided to name the event after her. "Wendy embodied the spirit of rodeo," said Marilyn. "She cheered for everyone, and they all cheered for her. She was friends with everyone and loved by all."
