Looking for something creative to try?

VASA member Lisa Shorten is hosting a Wool Weaving Workshop at VASA on Saturday, November 14!

Explore colourful hand spun wool, yarns and textures as you learn basic weaving techniques and create your own one of a kind wall hanging.

No experience needed! All materials to complete your weaving are included.

Roots & Wings, the final Artful Connections workshop of the fall, offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and look ahead with curiosity and possibility.

Led by Kelsey Beier, who holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy and Spirituality with a specialization in Art Therapy, the workshop uses simple creative materials and guided activities to encourage reflection, conversation, and new perspectives.

You don't need to be an artist. This isn't about learning art techniques or creating a finished piece - creativity is simply the tool we use to explore!

🎨 Go a little Wild and Free with watercolour!

Join mixed media artist Carri Hall for a fun, beginner-friendly afternoon exploring watercolour and mixed media as part of VASA’s Taste of Art series.

You’ll learn basic watercolour techniques and experiment with mark making using pens, discovering how the two can come together in creative and unexpected ways.

Carri loves experimenting with different techniques in her own work, from watercolour and collage to Zen doodling, acrylic markers and textile arts - and she’ll bring that spirit of exploration to this relaxed two-hour workshop.

No previous art experience is required, and all supplies are included.

Our new Corridor Gallery show is so interesting! Two artists sharing their vision for each piece! Each work is a true collaboration; combining the skills, ideas, and artistic approaches of both artists. Join us for VASA's opening ceremony for Interwoven Realities this Thursday from 6-8:00 pm. 🎨 Looking for a creative night out - without needing to know how to paint?

Join Nancy Unsworth for Creative Soul, an evening of mixed-media art, conversation and creative exploration.

You’ll create your own mixed-media canvas using colour, layers, shapes, images and textures inspired by the people, places and experiences that are meaningful to you.

This is a relaxed, self-guided creative experience rather than a step-by-step art lesson. Nancy will be there throughout the evening with ideas, encouragement and help if you need it — but there’s no right or wrong way to create your piece.
