The Community Theatre The Community Theater is a historic theater in Catskill, NY showing a mix of first-run and classic cinema. Come see a movie!

Built in 1920, The Community Theatre has two movie screens and a vaudeville stage. We show the latest releases, repertory classics, and independent films, and are available for live performances. Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults - $11
Seniors (65+) - $8
Students, Teachers and Military - $8
Children - $8
Tuesdays - All tickets $5.00

The next edition of the Pre-K Matinee features the claymation sensation CHICKEN RUN! Plus we'll have special Chicken Run coloring pages for the kids. Bring the family down to Community on Sunday, August 16!

The Pre-K Matinee is a screening series for children aged 2-5 and their families that’s our answer to story time! We play short and long-form content specifically chosen to please young viewers and parents, and we keep the lights on low and the sound a little lower than usual to make the theater a less overwhelming experience for all. Plus we’ll have special concessions for children to enjoy! All tickets are just $5, and free under 2.

Very excited to announce that our 25th Anniversary Screening of Wet Hot American Summer will feature a preshow party, including a DJ set from none other than actors H. Jon Benjamin!

The preshow party starts at 6:30, so come early, grab a cup of our bug juice cocktail, available "counselor-style" (spiked) or "camper-style" (not spiked) and take a trip to Camp Firewood with us.

It all goes down on Friday, August 14! Doors at 6, preshow party at 6:30, then the movie at 7:30, followed by a postshow Q&A with actor Gideon Jacobs.
