A special thanks to Tom Illari of Catskill Collectibles who, at Rip's Country Bazaar on Saturday when he discovered that I was buying this very unusual "birds eye view" of the Hotel Kaaterskill for MTHS, returned my payment and said it was a donation. The divided back postcard dates from sometime after 1906. The image of the hotel seems accurate rather than the exaggerated drawings often found in the Hotel Kaaterskill advertising. The road to the hotel looks simplified and doesn't indicate the complex junctions that were in place as early as the1883 map "showing roads and paths." See less
