After so much reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Hummingbird Catskill 🤍
This little shop has been so much more than a tattoo studio. It has been a place of connection, creativity, growth, friendship, healing, laughter, and community. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of meeting and tattooing some truly incredible people, and I cannot adequately express how grateful I am for every client who trusted me with their stories, memories, and milestones.
Closing this chapter is bittersweet. Hummingbird has been such an important part of my life, and saying goodbye to this space is not easy. There is a lot of sadness in letting go of something that has meant so much to me and so many others.
At the same time, I am excited for what comes next. As many of you know, I have relocated to DC and have been traveling back and forth for 6 months now to keep the space alive, but it has become too much to balance. While Hummingbird’s storefront is coming to an end, this is not the end of my tattooing career.
For anyone with an appointment already scheduled through July, nothing is changing. All currently booked appointments will be honored as planned, and I look forward to seeing many of you before this chapter comes to a close.
I fully plan to return to New York for guest spots and may eventually open a private studio space for appointments when I’m in town. I would love to continue tattooing many of you for years to come.
If you’d like to be notified when I’m booking New York appointments, guest spots, or future projects, please fill out this form. That will be the best way to stay updated on when I’ll be back in the area.

Thank you for supporting Hummingbird, for trusting me and the other artists in the shop with your skin, and for helping create something so special. This chapter may be ending, but the relationships, memories, and artwork will stay with me forever.
With love and gratitude,
Kelsey 🖤
