Meet Foreland tenant Petal to the Metal, founded by Leslie Bish, a biodynamic farmer and floral artist based in the Hudson Valley.

Blending lush, expressive floral design with an earth-conscious approach, Leslie creates one-of-a-kind work for weddings, events, and gatherings. Her practice is rooted in collaboration, seasonality, and a deep connection to the natural world, with each arrangement designed to create a feeling, shape a space, and tell a story.

Happenings at Foreland ✺

This weekend, Gaa opens Tender Ground, a group exhibition featuring Travis Boyer, Angelina Gualdoni, Lexia Hachtmann, Mevlana Lipp, and Krzysztof Strzelecki.

Across painting and sculpture, the exhibition explores nature and the natural world as forms of shelter, looking at ideas of refuge, intimacy, concealment, and transformation.

Join Gaa for the opening reception this Saturday, October 3 from 3–6 PM here on the Foreland campus.

Meet one of Foreland’s newer artist tenants, Autumn Jordan.
A Hudson Valley based photographer, Autumn captures love on film, bringing the patience and curiosity of analog photography to weddings and celebrations near and far. She first fell in love with the darkroom while studying film at Bennington College, and has since had her work featured in The New York Times, Vogue, Elle, and The Boston Globe.
Her practice is rooted in paying attention: to people, place, light, and all the small moments that make a photograph feel lived in.
We’re very happy to have her here at Foreland.

Foreland occupies three former mill buildings in the heart of Catskill, where 85,000 square feet of old industrial space has become home to studios, galleries, retail, f&b, and quiet stillness on a waterfront. The buildings have had many lives already; this is the current one.

Inside the studio with Foreland artist tenant Kathryn Lynch.
Kathryn’s paintings begin with looking: at roads, light, weather, distance, and the landscapes around her. Through layers of paint, those familiar places become something less fixed and more felt, somewhere between what’s there and what we remember seeing.
Kathryn has exhibited her work around the world and has called Catskill home for years. We’re lucky to have her making work right here at Foreland.
