FORELAND ARTIST TENANT FEATURE: BENJAMIN LEWELLYN
Meet Benjamin Lewellyn , an artist and designer working across fragrance, interiors, hospitality, and his own personal art practice.
Benjamin is the founder of Village Common, a Catskill-based fragrance studio creating custom and private-label fragrance collections for retail and hospitality. Alongside Village Common, he runs an interior design practice with a focus on hospitality.
For nearly a decade, Benjamin has built a creative life that moves between business, design, and art, with each part informing the next.
We’re happy to have Ben here at Foreland.

As summer winds down, there’s still plenty happening at Foreland. Spend an afternoon wandering the campus and catch a few exhibitions currently on view, including Wendy White’s Laguna Seca at Gaa and Kate Sherman Transformer with Field of Play.

Come for the work, stay for a walk along the waterfront, and soak up the last stretch of summer in Catskill.

Browse original works by Kate Sherman, Debbi Kenote, Janos Cseh, Greg Dzurita, and Quinn Yanku, alongside a curated selection of merch, zines, and exhibition catalogues. While you’re here, experience Kate Sherman’s solo exhibition, curated by Matthew Logsdon and Kate Skakel.

Opening Reception: 4 - 6 PM
Celebrate the opening of Laguna Seca, a solo exhibition of new works by New York–based artist Wendy White. This marks the artist’s fourth solo exhibition with Gaa and her first in Catskill. The exhibition will be on view August 1 - September 7, 2026.

The Foreland Waterfront expands our vision with a collection of commercial and public-facing spaces designed to welcome everyone. We’re seeking food, beverage, retail, and cultural tenants who invite locals and visitors alike to dine, shop, make, gather, and linger along the waterfront.
