My final submission for the Makers Challenge Central “Talk Wordy To Me” contest—created for my daughter, inspired by her love of the Wings of Fire series.

Those books are all about courage, friendship, and figuring out who you really are… and I wanted this piece to reflect that.

I used my dad’s old scroll saw to hand cut this dragon—197 pieces, each one shaped, sanded, and painted. The wings are finished with epoxy to give them that fire-like glow 🔥

It’s all set on a white oak hexagon backer with a walnut frame, engraved with some of our favorite quotes from the series.

More than anything, I hope this reminds her to always stay true to herself.
