We did a mini parenting workshop this afternoon. It was really fun!
It’s so neat to be able to learn from the horses. Thank you Cottonwood Elementary School for hosting us there!!

I’m sorry! We need to cancel the Horse Costume fun for today. Our road got washed out by all the rain. We thought we would have it fixed but it’s taking way longer than we were hoping.

Check in for next week. We hope the weather will be better!!

For years, we kept saying yes. ❤️

👉 Yes to foster families who needed a place to connect.
👉 Yes to youth groups that could not afford the full cost.
👉 Yes to young people who needed confidence, purpose, and trusted adults.
👉 Yes to programs teaching emotional regulation, leadership, and service.

Much of that work was free or deeply discounted. We personally absorbed the cost because we believed access mattered. But we also realized that to keep changing lives long-term, generosity needs a sustainable structure.

That is why we created the SWELL Foundation.

SWELL stands for:
✨ Self Mastery
✨ Wellness
✨ Emotional Strength
✨ Leadership
✨ Love & Service

While Swell Retreat provides the beautiful physical space for this work, the SWELL Foundation ensures these life-changing experiences are accessible to youth, families, veterans, and communities who might otherwise never have the opportunity.

This work didn’t begin when we filed nonprofit paperwork. The Foundation was created because the work was already happening—and we want it to continue for generations. 🌲🏕️

SWELL Horse Club…bringing friends together through horses.

SWELL Horse Club yesterday was amazing. The youth practiced their level one riding skills, learned about emotional strength through the lens of horses, experienced the peace of singing bowls, and a relay race to pick the right tools for horse care.

We are so excited to host a North and South Private Youth Camp come June of 2027!

This youth stake group will have the entire 208-acre desert oasis to themselves including exclusive access to two recreational lakes, 5-mile trail, the aspiration amphitheater, a 200-foot zip line, water slides, floating adventure islands, and a ninja course. We hope to provide a distraction-free environment for the youth to connect, grow, and build lifelong memories.
