Happy Earth Day!
We want your art for a special upcoming community show called "Let Us Praise the Pollinators." Kids and adults welcome! All mediums, 2-D & 3-D. Poems welcome too.

We invite you to bring in your artwork during the entire two months the show will be on exhibit from May 7th through June 28th, during gallery hours of 12-5, Thurs-Sun. Additionally, we invite all to join us on May 16th for some very special Celebrating Pollinators events in collaboration with Franklin House and Ruby's Antiques. We are all on the same street, easy to get to from one place to the other.

In honor of Van Gogh’s birthday 🥳🎉🎂🎁 i thought i would share something about him most people don’t know. Someone asked me once if i wanted to be the next Van Gogh. I said NO! They said i thought you loved him. I said I do. I love his work and so does most of the world. But when he died he had only sold 1 painting. He was extremely depressed. He suffered his whole life and Made some of the most beautiful artwork that is admired all over the world and he never knew how admired he was going to be. And how appreciated his art was going to be. That most everyone knows that loves Van Gogh.

Monet is one of my favorite artists. I would love to go see his work. Monet had sever cateracts. And had to label his paints with the colors cause he could no longer tell what they were. I remember at one time reading that he had, had cateract surgery and threw away a bunch of paintings once his eyesight improved some because he was not happy with the way they looked. I wish i could see the ones he threw away I think it would be neat to know what they looked like. Monet painted his garden many times you can tell he loved it. He is also credited for coming up with Impressionism. I really admire him for not letting his limitations stop him from creating masterpieces. Instead he created Impressionism
