Let’s do a sterile piercing setup…

Here at Fine Ink Studios we pride ourselves on truly safe piercing techniques including setting up and maintaining a sterile field for each client.

In this demo I am using size 6.5 sterile gloves, the inner packing of the gloves serves as the sterile field. I drop the following items into the field before input on my sterile gloves.

-Lubricant jelly(because we are kind)
-BZK antiseptic (benzalkonium chloride)
-14g Cannula Needle (Misquito)
-Disposable Forcep (Snaptile)

Downsizing is something we highly reccommend for almost all piercings (septums, rooks, daiths, and some others not needed unless a more snug fit is desired) at 6-8 weeks.

When we originally peirce you, we use a longer piece of jewelry to account for swelling. In the next month or so, that swelling will go down, showing more of your jewelry.

In piercings like lobes and helixs, delaying your downsize easily progess to irritation bumps and angle changes due to sleeping and everyday movement. Coming in for a downsize means we’ll be swapping your jewelry out for a smaller piece in length or diameter.

Worried about price? Your downsize is included in your piercing fee! Come in to see us, 7 days a week, open at 11 AM with walk-ins and appointments always available!
