It was a privilege to welcome the administration, students, and parent chaperones of Chautauqua Christian Academy for their Spring Formal at The Front Porch Promise Farm on May 16, 2026.

The night was full of constant laughter, stunning elegant evening gowns, suits and ties (worn before changing into casual attire for after dinner activities), non-stop music, delicious food and desserts, corn hole competitions, fancy foot work on the dance floor, a bon-fire and beautiful lighted hanging floral and ivy decorations replicating Spanish Moss. It was the covering for the dance floor capturing the Spring Formal theme —“Into the Bayou.”

Precious memories were made as we watched dreams of the heart happen here!

We are thinking if they could have formed an impromptu country music choir last night they would have sung Tim McGraw’s song “I LIKE IT, I LOVE IT, I WANT SOME MORE OF IT!”

Why? Because they don’t want Happy Hump Day dance lessons at The Front Porch Promise Farm to stop! They want more!

So we’ve squeezed in one more week before we start some construction work and maintenance projects at the barn. Our last class will be this coming Wednesday May 27, 2026.

Join us at 6:00 pm for a fun-filled finale to the spring sessions of line and partner dance classes at the barn!

Wear smooth soled shoes or boots and bring your own refreshments.

Classes are FREE but if possible please bring a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Cassadaga Food Pantry. It will be greatly appreciated.

On tap this week—we will crank up the music, take your requests, and refresh/practice the partner and line dances we have learned over the last few weeks. So get your “feel good” on and get ready to laugh and have fun on the dance floor!

On tap this week—-

BEGINNERS PARTNER DANCE CLASS - 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

We will introduce the basic Two-step dance and refresh the Ten-Step and El Paso.

BEGINNERS LINE DANCE CLASS 6:30 - 7:00 pm

We will refresh Money Bags, Boot Scoot Boogie and introduce the Cowboy Hustle.

BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED OPEN DANCE PRACTICE - 7:00 pm - ?

Join others on the dance floor to practice your dance moves, learn from others, and share what you know. Get your “feel good on”, laugh, make friends and enjoy the joy of country dancing!

Wear smooth soled shoes or boots and bring your own refreshments.

This video is of a mother dancing with her daughter at the farm. The daughter traveled from South Carolina to join her mom so they could celebrate together with family and friends at The Front Porch Promise Farm.

Some may watch this video and see nothing more than an ordinary moment on the dance floor. But to this mom and daughter it is a lifetime memory capturing the very reason we built the venue—to provide a place for making lifetime memories with those you love.

It is the mission of The Front Porch Promise Farm, LLC to offer friends, family, and the surrounding community a unique gathering place. It is our promise that guests will experience the joy of making lifetime memories, sharing laughter, and counting their blessings together.

By golly we had a barrel of fun in the barn last night at Happy Hump Day Dancing!

Here’s Rick helping an awesome bunch of boot scooters learn how to do the Boot Scoot Boogie line dance with a twist! 🤠

I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure we had more fun on the dance floor than monkeys on cupcakes! 🧁🐒

We will refresh the Ten-Step and introduce variation movements to the dance. And we will refresh the El Paso, a graceful, easy flowing, romantic dance.

We will refresh the Texas Stomp, Money Bags and introduce Rick’s favorite version of the Boot Scoot Boogie.

BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED OPEN DANCE PRACTICE - 7:00 pm - ?
