For almost three decades Kimala Kelbert has given kids all over the country and in the Casper community high quality dance training. Now introducing Expressions School of Theatrical Dance, Kim desires to bring the community a dance school built on character, ethics, modesty and family values.
The studio is called Expressions for Kim’s strong belief that dance is a form of worship and should be used to express our thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dance can also be used to share a message and convey a concept. The manner in which we present or express ourselves can build us up or tear us down. Through dance training, at Expressions, not only is it our goal to provide excellent dance training, but also to instill in our students honesty, integrity, teamwork, kindness, discipline, respect, leadership, perseverance, and determination. These principles, for Kim, are solely based in the Bible. Expressions’ goal is also to have this influence present in all of our staff, instructors, and all of those who represent Expressions. Through our progressive level training program, students of all ages have the opportunity to strengthen their bodies and minds as they grow to love dance as a form of art and worship. From the very beginning Creative Movement class to the most advanced level dance classes, our students gain a solid understanding of proper technique and dance terminology. Scriptures and concepts like the Golden Rule will often be heard in classroom settings to encourage great character traits in our students. Though Scripture may not be present in all the productions we present, Kim’s heart's motives and desires are to remain wholesome, modest and morally sound.
