So I added the second dog for the vet hospital monument. At the moment they're still just messy block models focusing on composition, not dog portrait or anatomy. They are sloppy and messy but I can start to see the consolidation of the composition in real space. Now the sculpting begins!

Just started on a monument for the entrance of a new vet hospital. Due to the size I can go straight from my design maquette to the full scale. No digital enlargements, just old school posable armature and some clay. So refreshing to sculpt like this, it's been a while! Stay tuned, it will get better, right now just a rough block-in to finalize the size.

We lost an amazing man in Sam Neill. When I was tasked on Bicentennial Man to create silicone makeups, Sam was my test subject. While the first proof of concept was on Robin Williams, figuring out how to actually do it was on Sam. He was the consummate professional, always patient, always kind, always cracking me up, especially being a guy at his level but still willing to be the guinea pig to figure it out. So many great memories and stories hanging out with him. You will be missed Sir.

Wesley and I are back from an amazing week with where we walked together with Tony Cohen and many others from Niagara Falls over the Rainbow Bridge and into Canada. Getting Journey to Freedom across the border was a challenge but she made it too with perseverance!

Thanks to everyone who made this 750-mile pilgrimage retracing the Underground Railroad to Canada possible. Together we honored our shared and painful history while inspiring a path toward racial healing.

Journey to Freedom is still in Canada visiting places where Freedom Seekers found freedom but will be back in the states soon!
