Cary Gallery of Artists We are an Art Gallery co-op of over 20 artists showcasing original work in a variety of media. A great time to visit us is during Cary's Final Friday Art Loop.

Since its founding in 2005 by a group of local artists with a dream, Cary Gallery of Artists has offered high quality, affordable, original artwork for you to enjoy and own. We have participated in Art Loop since its beginning in 2005. On the last Friday of each month we are open late, from 6 – 9 p.m., featuring special showings by member artists, and we hold a juried show, Small Treasures, each s

pring. Cary provides free bus service between the art venues including ours in Ashworth Village, Town Hall campus, and Crossroads Shopping Center. Our gallery offers high quality art in a variety of styles. A wide variety of painting styles range from traditional still lifes and landscapes to abstracts. Portraits of people or animals are available. The pottery and clay art include edgy handbuilt pieces and decorative and functional pottery that captures images of nature. Our jewelry artists create necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other ornaments from metals, stones, beads and fused glass. Our artists also create contemporary glass art, hand-painted porcelain, felted wearables and art, and intricate fabric pieces.

Ever wonder how Pastels, those vibrant sticks of chalk, become a painting? How do I begin, what kind of pastels and paper do I use, how do I frame, and many questions you have asked yourself? Find out all you need to know about this dry versatile medium introducing or re-introducting yourself to a new venture exploring the innumerable ways to use it, some of which may surprise you! More artists than ever are painting in pastel and using diverse new techniques, varieties of pastels, and many new substrates and supplies that are now available to artists.
