Haven’t lost my marbles. Just painted them. 🔵🟢

Two new originals, full of swirled color, little reflections, and a bit of childhood nostalgia. I loved working out how the light moves through the glass and spills onto the blue beneath them.

Coming soon to Sauls Collective. Which one catches your eye—the five or the trio?

Dean and I went to the opening of the Shadows exhibit this weekend, and it was pretty cool to see Where the Light Falls hanging there among all the other work.

You spend so much time with a painting while you’re making it that seeing it out of the studio and on a gallery wall feels completely different. I loved getting to step back, see it as part of the whole show, and spend some time looking at what everyone else created.

Really glad we got to be there together for this one. ❤️

Apparently this is what I do now that I don’t have kids to drive to school anymore: I drive paintings around. 😂

Last weekend this one got a ride over to Rebus Works to be dropped off for Shadows, a small works exhibition hosted by and in Raleigh.

I’m really happy this painting was selected for the show, and I’m looking forward to seeing it hanging somewhere other than my house. (Although I did make sure it had a very safe ride over. 😂)

Shadows opens September 12 and runs through October 31. If you’re in the Raleigh area, come see it in person!

Mine mostly sniff things, stand exactly where I’m trying to take a photo, and provide unsolicited creative direction. 🐾😂

Today’s assignment: photographing artwork in the garden. Apparently the pond required a full inspection before we could proceed.

Running an art business means wearing a lot of hats: painter, photographer, marketer, packer, website manager... and occasionally dog wrangler.

At least the help is enthusiastic. ❤️

It’s not fancy, but it’s real — people passing through, working, reading, and maybe stopping for a second.

Just finished this little fly painting and I’m pretty excited about how it turned out. 🎣

I love painting fishing flies because they’re such strange, beautiful little objects. Feathers, thread, metal, tiny flashes of color, all designed to convince a fish that it absolutely needs to make a terrible decision.

This one is an **original oil painting**, with a variety of frame options, and it’s **available now at Still & Drift**.

A good little piece for a fisherman, a cabin, an office, or anyone who thinks fishing gear deserves better than being shoved in a tackle box.
