Meet Alicia Calderwood! Our Artistic Director, Cofounder, Outreach Director, and owner of 💜

If you’ve ever felt the magic of the Carolina Circus Festival, you’ve felt .calderwood’s touch. She’s the creative heartbeat behind our shows, shows, and the one gathering vendors, performers, and the community!

🌿 At the root of everything Alicia does is mental health awareness. Through her studio and this festival, she connects movement with healing while creating safe opportunities where people can shine their brightest ✨

👩‍👧 Beyond the stage, Alicia is also mama to 1.5-year-old Riley (future circus star in the making 💕).

When she’s not crafting show flow or answering a thousand emails, you’ll find her still dancing in the air as the finale sct in the pro show, and cheering louder than anyone for this community on the sidelines!
