you had the most incredible final summer with us at the farm. We will always remember you and all the fun time on the paddleboard, pontoon boat, golf cart and soccer fields. 🐝 Hive update! 🌼

The bees are continuing to do well! While they weren’t quite ready for another hive box yet, they’re steadily building out their third box and making great progress. They also have some solid honey stores, which should help carry them through the summer dearth of July and August when nectar sources become scarce.

To stay ahead of pests, I added small hive beetle traps as part of their management plan. Thankfully, the colonies are using their space well, so I’m not too concerned about beetle pressure at this point.

Looking forward to checking back in on them in early August to see how they’ve progressed. Stay tuned for more bee updates! 🍯✨

Here it is, folks! 🌲🚜

Just one of the many improvements we’re making around the farm. We’ve cleared a 3.5-mile trail that loops around the entire property, crossing our creek several times along the way.

What makes this project even more special is that every piece of lumber used for the bridges and trail improvements was harvested from trees right here on our land.

There’s something pretty rewarding about turning our own resources into something the whole farm can enjoy! A true full circle moment🌿🪵✨
