“Over 4 million people estimated in at least 163 different countries took to the streets today. Led by youth, this strike is intended to bring awareness to policy makers, corporations, and the everyday consumer that there is a climate emergency. It is a strike with a message to heavy polluters and and those in power : ‘Change is coming, whether they like it or not.’

Any collective action needs a collective voice. This is a global walkout led by our future generation to say that this climate emergency needs a new approach, a response centered on human rights, equity, and justice.
