As fans and admirers continue to mourn the passing of country music icon Dolly Parton, the family has announced that, per Dolly's wishes, there will be only a small memorial service for close family and friends.

Others wishing to pay tribute are encouraged to use the tag or leave a message at dollyparton.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity for which she was most passionate, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (https://imaginationlibrary.com/).

"Dolly: A True Original Musical", based on her life, will open on Broadway on Jan. 19, 2027 which would have been her 81st birthday.
