It’s time for the first show of the season, Wolves! The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime has been hard at work this past week, and we cannot wait to come see it! Here’s a picture with our cast, and stage management team! We are so excited to see this show’s final product! ✨

Happy Audition Day, Wolves!

Auditions for the“Home is Where the Heart is” Season shows, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” (directed by Pauline Gagnon) and “Songs & Stories Cabaret 2026: Home” (directed by senior Ellie Castillo-Nuñez as a capstone project) are FINALLY HERE!

Auditions will be in the Old Auditorium, please report to the Martha Munro Acting Lab at 6 PM. Prepare a 1-minute comic or serious monologue from a contemporary play, and 32-bars of an uptempo OR 16-bars of a ballad musical theatre song. The total audition should be no more than 2 minutes long!

Auditions are open to all UWG Students!🏠

UWG Theatre Company’s Auditions for our 2026-2027 Season, “Home is Where the Heart is” are NEXT MONTH!

Auditions will be on Thursday, August 13th at 6PM in the Old Auditorium (please report to Martha Munro Hall). Prepare a 1-minute comic or serious monologue from a contemporary play, and 32-bars of an uptempo OR 16-bars of a ballad musical theatre song. The total audition should be no more than 2 minutes long! 🎭

Auditions are open to all UWG Students!

⭐ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Amahri Richard will be graduating this morning as a B.A. in Theatre, and this afternoon as a B.S. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Film/Video Production! Amahri has done a bit of everything in this company from acting, to designing, to music directing, to stage management, and to directing, which was his Senior Capstone! After college, he plans to get his teaching certificate and teach high school Theatre, while growing his personal Film production company, RC Films! We are so proud of him and can’t wait to see where he goes next!

“It’s a 3-way tie between Frankenstein, Freaky Friday, and my Senior Capstone, Songs & Stories ‘26, all 3 productions I hold near and dear to me as I learned so much on all 3, and was an amazing opportunity to direct such an amazing group in S&S, and being able to work with Shelly and Amy, as well as act with some of my favorite people during my Senior year in Frakenstein and Freaky Friday!“

Em Hackney will be graduating this morning as a B.F.A. in Design/Technology! Em has been the main stage manager for the past three seasons, as done other work as a Lighting Designer, as well as working on our Marketing team! After college, she plans to pursue Stage Management opportunities in the Atlanta area! We are so proud of her and know she’s going to CRUSH wherever she goes next!

“I can’t really pick one, but my two favorite shows were Toxic or Freaky. They were both such big shows that required a lot of people to make it happen, and they both turned out amazing.“

⭐️ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐️

Connor Tipton will be graduating tomorrow morning as a B.F.A. in Design/Technology! Connor has been our main student lighting designer for the past few years, he’s also scenic designed and been assistant lighting designer on different musicals. He plans to continue to work with Icarus Productions, while also pursuing freelance work, and are so thankful for all he has done for our company!

“My favorite show at UWG was Freaky Friday. As this was my last show at UWG, this show allowed me to showcase all that I have learned over the course of my 4 years there, and being able to work with and collaborate with outside designers was amazing!”
