⭐ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Amahri Richard will be graduating this morning as a B.A. in Theatre, and this afternoon as a B.S. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Film/Video Production! Amahri has done a bit of everything in this company from acting, to designing, to music directing, to stage management, and to directing, which was his Senior Capstone! After college, he plans to get his teaching certificate and teach high school Theatre, while growing his personal Film production company, RC Films! We are so proud of him and can’t wait to see where he goes next!

“It’s a 3-way tie between Frankenstein, Freaky Friday, and my Senior Capstone, Songs & Stories ‘26, all 3 productions I hold near and dear to me as I learned so much on all 3, and was an amazing opportunity to direct such an amazing group in S&S, and being able to work with Shelly and Amy, as well as act with some of my favorite people during my Senior year in Frakenstein and Freaky Friday!“

Em Hackney will be graduating this morning as a B.F.A. in Design/Technology! Em has been the main stage manager for the past three seasons, as done other work as a Lighting Designer, as well as working on our Marketing team! After college, she plans to pursue Stage Management opportunities in the Atlanta area! We are so proud of her and know she’s going to CRUSH wherever she goes next!

“I can’t really pick one, but my two favorite shows were Toxic or Freaky. They were both such big shows that required a lot of people to make it happen, and they both turned out amazing.“

Connor Tipton will be graduating tomorrow morning as a B.F.A. in Design/Technology! Connor has been our main student lighting designer for the past few years, he’s also scenic designed and been assistant lighting designer on different musicals. He plans to continue to work with Icarus Productions, while also pursuing freelance work, and are so thankful for all he has done for our company!

“My favorite show at UWG was Freaky Friday. As this was my last show at UWG, this show allowed me to showcase all that I have learned over the course of my 4 years there, and being able to work with and collaborate with outside designers was amazing!”

Lill Sandefur will be graduating this semester as a B.F.A. in Acting, with Honors! Lill has worked and acted in multiple productions in their time at UWG. We are so thankful for all they have done for our company, and we will all be on the lookout for Lill’s next adventure!

⭐ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Charity Abrahamson will be graduating this spring with an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree in English and Musical Theatre! In her time here, Charity participated in multiple of our musical productions, and took courses as a part of our Musical Theatre Certificate.

We wish her the best of luck in her plans after graduation; which include auditioning for Broadway National Tours, and seeking performance as much as she can while doing some English and writing!

“Although I’ve loved all of them, my favorite show has to be Freaky Friday. It was the biggest role l’ve had so far, and I loved being able to create Torrey’s quirks and crazy moments. ⭐ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Bryson Burnette will be graduating this spring with a B.S in Film & Video Production and a Minor in Theatre, with Honors! Despite not being a Theatre Major, Bryson was involved in multiple of our productions throughout his years at UWG.

We are looking forward for what Bryson has in store for his career, where he plans on working as a sound engineer for live shows and a sound engineer for film! He will also finish his certificate with the Georgia Film Academy.

“My favorite show was definitely Frankenstein. As the sound designer, that show gave me the creative freedom to really explore one of my favorite stories by creating a dark, abstract, and complex soundscape. The cast and crew were all fantastic, and it was a pleasure to work with them as my final show with UWG.” -Bryson, when asked what his favorite show at UWG was and why.

⭐ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ⭐

Miranda Arnold will be graduating this spring with a B.S in Psychology and a Minor in Theatre, with Honors! Despite not being a Theatre Major, Miranda has been heavily involved with the program since her freshman year by being a part of productions and a student assistant in our costume shop, and we cannot wait to applaud her future successes!

We wish her all the best in her new adventure, taking on graduate school to pursue her MEd/EdS in professional counseling at the University of Georgia!

“I absolutely loved every single show that I have been a part of here at UWG but my favorite would have to be Fuddy Meers. Fuddy was my first play I’ve ever done, and the character I portrayed, Gertie, was like none other. That show was truly one in a million and I am honored to have been apart of it!” -Miranda, when asked what her favorite show at UWG was and why.
