SAD ANNOUNCEMENT TIME
This is going to be the last season for the Glydewell Christmas Lights show. I’ve had an absolute blast building the show over the past 8 years, but it has just become too much to handle. It has been a tough decision, but with other volunteer projects stretching from March through October, the eight weeks of intense, full time dedication to the light show has really begun to take its toll, both mentally and physically.
I certainly cherish all the support we’ve received over the years, every kind word, every smile and every car we’ve seen parked in front of my parents’ house, especially the ones with a bunch of kids hanging out the windows singing along with their familiar Christmas songs at the tops of their lungs! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
I’m not going away from the Christmas lights community completely. Ending the show will free up some time to pursue some other, albeit much smaller, Christmas lights projects I’ve been wanting to tinker with.
It’s been a good run. Thanks for the adventure. Let’s go have a new one!
