The Podunk Bluegrass Festival’s annual songwriting competition is now open, and they are accepting entries through midnight on April 1st. Submissions from all roots genres are welcome.

Full details and soundtracks from our past winners are available on our website at Podunkbluegrass.com.

Winners will be notified by phone in early June and invited to attend the festival as our guests. While winners are encouraged to join us, they do not need to be present to win. An awards ceremony will take place during the festival in Goshen, CT, held from August 5–9.

Congratulations to the 2025 winners of the North Carolina Songwriter's Co-op Songwriting Contest! Clayton Sabine won first place and audience voters award. Lydia St. George came in second. A big thank you to Maverick Rose for being a fantastic emcee, the Bird's Nest Listening Room in Dunn for providing a perfect venue, and to all the songwriters who performed. It was a great night and a huge success.
