CSD School of Performing Arts was founded in 1973 by Mary Lou Curtis, it was then run by her daughter Bonnie Curtis until 2021. CSD School of Performing Arts provides outstanding, multidisciplinary dance instruction for emerging and pre-professional artists from ages 3-18. It is a core part of Carpinteria’s bustling arts community with multiple performance opportunities and a place for children to

safely develop their artistic practice. We strongly believe that providing children with engaging and challenging dance instruction and a sense of community sets them up for a lifetime of success. CSD School of Performing Arts employs highly acclaimed teachers in the dance industry who have enjoyed long and successful performing and teaching careers, bridging the gap between recreational dance and the possibility of a career in the performing arts. We offer multiple styles and multiple levels and are happy to find a place for any kind of dancer!
