Alcazar Theatre The Alcazar Theatre opened on April 27, 1928. Owner, Henry J. Miller invested $50,000 to build the theatre that builder Alex C.

The Alcazar is a nonprofit established to educate, enlighten, inform and inspire the entire community to appreciate all forms of the performing arts, and to make arts available and accessible to all within the community. D’Alfonso claimed was “As Strong and Sturdy as the Rock of Gibralter”. The opening of the theatre prompted telegrams of congratulations from MGM, Paramount and Christie Films amon

Get ready for a night of laughs when Carpinteria local Greg Garcia brings his comedian friends to the Alcazar for a special night of comedy!

🤩Greg Warren - Greg Warren’s comedy draws from his days selling Jif and Pringles for Procter & Gamble, a story featured in his acclaimed special The Salesman, co-produced by Nate Bargatze and praised by The New York Times. He’s appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show, and Comedy Central Presents, while also building a following on SiriusXM and top podcasts.

🤩Lachlan Patterson – A finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, with appearances on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and major comedy festivals including Montreal’s Just For Laughs. Lachlan is also a regular opener for Nate Bargatze.

🤩Greg Garcia - New to comedy but not Carpinteria, Greg's friend Nate Bargatze made him try stand up a year ago and he's been doing it ever since. He's performed in clubs, theaters, cruise ships and arenas where he opened up for Bargatze. Greg created the TV shows My Name is Earl, Raising Hope, Sprung and others.

“Some stories belong to more than 1 song” ✨ -Hunter Hawkins�

“Here Now,” is finally coming to life on screen at The Alcazar Theatre on June 5th at 7PM

Join us as Hawkins celebrates the release of “Here Now,” the debut single from the forthcoming Red Van Records project Awake, produced by legendary singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins.

The evening will also feature a special premiere screening of Awake: Pinky’s Journey, a 40-minute companion film written, directed, produced by, and starring Hawkins. Filmed throughout Santa Barbara County, including scenes at Kenny Loggins’ home and Alan Parsons’ Parsonic Studios property in Goleta, the project offers an immersive first look at the upcoming album before its official release.

⭐️An acoustic performance from Hawkins will follow the screening.

🤲followed by a panel featuring a discussion with filmmaker Brent Winebrenner, John Fukasawa Jr. and Tommy Dyo, both descendants of families featured in the film.

About the film: "Our Faces Will Always Be Japanese" traces the immigrant journeys of the Ota, Fukasawa and Dyo families from turn-of-the-century Japan to the Carpinteria Valley and post-war California. The film explores the global forces that wrote history while shaping the immigrant’s struggle to prosper and assimilate in the turbulent years leading to war.
