Santa’s Seventeen Hour Saturday!

As the Holiday Season heats up, I am resting up these next few days to prepare myself for a 17-Hour Sunday that excitedly goes like this:

5:00 AM - Wake-Up to prepare for a two-hour shift that runs from 7-9 AM in the Visit with Santa LIVE on-line video conference with children from around the Unired States & Canada.

12:00 PM - Attend the Special Artists/Photography Exhibit and Reception at the Ojai Art Center with the Ojai Photography Community to meet and greet fellow artists and talk about my 3 canvas art prints in the current show.

2:15 PM - Sign-In as a participant (Santa in the Firetruck) in our annual Carpinteria Holiday Parade.

4:00 PM - Santa greetings and photos with kids, dogs and families at the annual “Hearthside for the Holidays” event at The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center

5:15 PM - Head over to The Alcazar Theatre to perform as “Drunk Santa” and “Jim Duncan the Central Park Zoo Reindeer Keeper” in our annual performance of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET.

11:00 PM - Arrive Home for a long winter’s nap! 🎅🏻😉😴❤️

Our first night of Full Dress Rehearsals at The Alcazar Theatre for MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET directed by the amazing Asa Olsson is in the bag!

I love being a part of this wonderful cast where I am reprising my roles as both “Drunk Santa” and “Jim Duncan” the Reindeer Handler at the Central Park Zoo for my third year!

About the Avocado Festival

The idea of the California Avocado Festival® began in 1986 at a meeting between community leaders Rob Godfrey, Connie Korbel, Debbie Murphy, Fran Puccinelli, Bob Ealee and John Franklin.

A brainstorming meeting was called to create an ongoing weekend event that would benefit the fundraising efforts of the local non-profit groups. It seemed the plan would also help promote Carpinteria as a Southern California weekend getaway destination and boost our local economy.

The California Avocado Festival Board of Directors welcomes everyone to join us October 6th - 8th in downtown Carpinteria for 3 days full of Peace, Love and Guacamole.

This year we will have 60 bands, 50 arts & crafts and commercial vendors, 15 delicious food vendors and over a dozen non profits will be on site for you to help support.

Reminder all proceeds of the festival go to the Carpinteria Education Foundation and the Future Farmers of America.
