Chicago Haunt Builders is a group of Halloween enthusiasts located across greater Chicagoland. This map has 450 Home Halloween Displays and Home Haunts located across Chicagoland. Click on the individual pins for address, description and dates / hours of operation. Many contain pictures as well.

The Cemetery and residents are viewable all day; however, the animations run from Dusk to 9:00 PM on Sundays through Thursdays and from Dusk to 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays from now through Halloween night!

Canyon Trail Cemetery has reappeared through the mists (and this year, based on recent weather, a swamp) for 2026 and its residents, both new and old, are ready to go bump in the night!

Canyon Trail Cemetery is an extensive, national award-winning, family friendly Halloween display known for unique hand-made animatronics and extensive detailing. One of the largest Halloween Home Displays in the Chicago area. It focuses on all things "spooky" rather than gore.

The Cemetery and residents are viewable all day; however, the animations run from Dusk to 9:00 PM on Sundays through Thursdays and from Dusk to 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays from now through Halloween night!

We are located at 371 Canyon Trail in Carol Stream.

Please be careful driving and parking when visiting as there are often many children around. Also, remember there is no parking on our side of the street by Village ordinance.

We put up the display for our own enjoyment and ask for nothing. However, if you do enjoy it, please consider a monetary donation for the Just Giants Rescue, Inc, or non-perishable food for the Humanitarian Service Project https://www.facebook.com/humanitarianserviceprojecthere in Carol Stream. Donations may be placed in the coffins by drive.

Over the last several days, much of the Cemetery and its residents have been reappearing through the mists for the 2026 appearance, though the residents need a couple more days to become reanimated!

We anticipate Canyon Trail Cemetery and its residents being "live" this Saturday, October 3, 2026 and will remain active through Halloween night.

Here are a few preview photos of 2026's manifestation.

While viewable any time of day, the Cemetery residents will be active from Dusk - 9:00 PM on Sundays - Thursdays and from Dusk - 10:00 PM on Fridays & Saturdays through 10/31/20265.

Stop on by to see the residents new and old!

We are located at 371 Canyon Trail in Carol Stream.

Please be careful when parking or driving by. There are often young children (and some adults) who may not be mindful of traffic. The Cemetery is full and we don't need more residents!

Also, by Village ordinance, parking is prohibited on our side of Canyon Trail. Please park on the other side or on one of the cul-de-sacs.

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler and the mists roll across the ground in the morning. All signs the barrier between this world and the world of the undead is getting thinner. Soon the barrier will completely dissolve and the residents of Canyon Trail Cemetery will make their short “lived” appearance for 2026.

Here are some pics of the cemetery which has appeared so far this season. It will be another several days before it has fully reappeared for this year's manifestation.

The Cemetery should be fully visible and residents reanimated starting October 3rd.

Starting October 3rd, the Cemetery and residents are viewable all day; however, the Spirits are active from Dusk to 9:00 PM on Sundays through Thursdays and from Dusk to 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays through Halloween night!

Be on the lookout for favorite residents from the past as well as new residents for 2026.

If you look carefully, you may even be able to see the residents getting restless and find some already lurking in the shadows.

School has started and there is just the faintest hint of Autumn in the evenings. That can only mean Canyon Trail Cemetery will soon be back for its annual appearance!

2026 marks the 21st annual appearance of the cemetery and its inhabitants!
