Picture Framing Made Easy
Making picture frames for your artwork has never been easier or more convenient than with FrameWorxz™. With many picture frame profiles available in a variety of Michigan hardwoods, ordering is customized to your individual project. Simply measure your artwork, select the corresponding dimensions, picture frame profile, and type of wood on the site to create your order. Once checked out, your order is complete.
FrameWorxz™ uses a unique fastening method that provides matching slots in the miters for the insertion of a plastic wedge when assembling. The process is simple, and with the addition of a small amount of wood glue on the miters, the frame is securely assembled. A strap clamp may be applied to secure the frame and compress the miter joints if desired. Once the glue is dry, the frame is ready for light sanding and applying the stain of your choice. For a semi-gloss finish, apply a sealer such as polyurethane. When dry, the frame is ready to use for your artwork or picture.
If matting is desired, and if you do not have a matt cutter, we suggest that you purchase pre-cut mats. If the picture or art is not a standard size, order one from a local frame shop or chain store such as Michael’s. Assembled picture frames and cut mats are difficult to ship and it is suggested if you plan on framing numerous pictures, to review the mat cutter selection at Framing4Yourself. Whatever choice you make, the expense will be substantially less than having your pictures framed through a brick and mortar store.
