Carnegie Schools is excited to announce a new grant opportunity that will benefit our students as they make plans for life after school. CPS has partnered with the Kiowa Tribe to administer a Tribal Education Department National Assembly-Native Youth Community Project Grant aimed at improving college and career readiness and opportunities for students.

CPS is excited to welcome KEA High School Specialist, Dee Witmer, to work alongside our team to give our kids a leg up in developing and reaching their established post-secondary goals for life after High School.

Attending the initial planning meeting this week to discuss the management and expectations of the grant were KEA Representatives, Miah Miller, Kelsey Autaubo, and Dee Witmer along with Miranda Lopez, Abe Lopez, Hope Worthington, and Randy Turney representing Carnegie Schools.

Tune into Kiowa Radio this Saturday morning, August 29, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 AM on New Country 98.5 FM. This week's lineup includes Kiowa Language Department Teacher, Dr. Melody Redbird-Post, Kiowa Tribe Veterans Office Director LaRue Guoladdle, and Kiowa Tribe Natural Resources Director Ephraim Kelley. Plus, executive updates from Vice-Chairwoman Donna Richey and Chairman David Sullivan. Kiowa Radio is hosted live by Coy McLemore, the livestream is available three ways including the iHeart app, online, and the local radio station 98.5 FM.
