Carnegie Stage We are a non-profit theater aimed at encouraging
and supporting artists of all kinds, especially those related to live theater, dance, music, and comedy.

Formerly known as off the WALL performing arts center. In keeping with our mission to encourage and support the artist, and the appreciation of all arts,
it is Off The Wall’s goal to provide visiting artists a home in which to present live theater, dance, music, and comedy. Our beautiful, intimate modified thrust performance space offers state-of-the art sound and lighting systems and a 96-seat house. The handicap-accessible facility includes a reception area, spacious dressing rooms, and separate restrooms for audience and performers. There is a public parking lot directly across from the theater on West Main. On street parking is also available. All parking is free on weekends, and after 5:00 pm on weekdays. The Carnegie West Bus Way stop is directly across the street and offers public transportation to Downtown and Oakland.

In this thrilling stage adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel, the tiny village of King’s Abbot is rocked by scandal when Roger Ackroyd, the wealthiest man in town, is found dead shortly after the apparent su***de of his fiancée. This new stage adaptation by Mark Shanahan (A Sherlock Carol) features a cast of killer suspects in what has been called the most cunning “whodunnit” in the history of mystery.

First published in 1926 and voted “The Greatest Crime Novel Ever Written” by the British Crime Writers’ Association, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is classic Christie with plenty of suspects, plot twists, and misdirection and stars Kinetic Associate Artist Sam Tsoutsouvas as the great Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.

Follow the trail… if you dare. BREADCRUMBS, the haunting, lyrical play by Jennifer Haley, comes to Carnegie Stage for a limited engagement.

A poetic story about the relationship between two complicated women. Alida is a reclusive fiction writer who has been diagnosed with dementia. She begrudgingly must depend upon Beth, a troubled young caregiver who offers to help Alida complete her autobiography. Together they delve into the dark woods of Alida's past, unearthing a tragedy that shatters their notions of language, loneliness, and essential self.

Directed by Ingrid Sonnichsen, and reuniting Carnegie Stage favorites Erika Cuenca and Virginia Wall Gruenert.
