✨ Where body, land, and story meet.

Kindgrove is a new home for ritual & performance theatre, medieval arts, and embodied practice, a place grown out of the orchard at Spirit Wild Farm in Carnation, WA.

Twenty acres of working orchard and native habitat, on the edge of the wild: an old orchard rooted over an underground river, a coyote den, pygmy owls, red-tailed hawks, thrushes, and a forest reclaiming and remembering itself. A stopping place for migratory birds. A sacred place on the edge of the sprawl.

I'm Dr. Sweenie Patterson — medieval scholar, theatre practitioner, Tai Chi & Qigong instructor, and clown. I'm also a trans man. And I feel, deeply, the need for places like this: places for us to play, and to remember who we are.

Part sacred grove, part performative commons, part medieval living history. Come get lost with us.
