This is an email I sent out today. If you didn’t get it and you are on my email list, please add me to your contacts ([email protected]).
I hope you are all feeling well both physically and emotionally. This is a trying time that’s for sure, but I love something that my meditation practice has taught me and that’s “What you focus on grows.” I am finding this to be so true right now. If I get caught up in negative or scary thoughts, my anxiety level starts to rise. When I see that anxiety I stop and look around my new small world and find everything I can to be grateful for. It may be a comfy chair or a TV I can watch. It may be a beautiful garden or a new waterfall. It doesn’t matter what it is. It doesn’t have to be big or important. Just changing your thoughts to those of gratitude will make a tremendous difference in your life. Some people like to keep a gratitude journal. I’ve never been very good at that, but many people are.
On to Face Masks...as you most likely are aware, there is a lot of conflicting information about the need for, the kind, the pattern, the materials, etc. for face masks. Yesterday I had an opportunity to attend the Sac Modern Quilt Guild meeting via Zoom (more on that in a bit). They have put together a resource list for quilters and sewists who are wanting to help in this way. It will be updated as more information is made available so please check back on a regular basis. You will have to have a FB account to assess it. If you don’t, Swifty Stitches and CaliQuiltCo have sent out emails with links. Let me know if you want me to forward these to you.
The link to this list is:

I’ve been wondering if some of you would be interested in being able to chat online. There’s an app that I know of and have used called “Zoom”. It allows groups to gather online and chat with each other. The Sac Modern Quilt Guild held their monthly meeting this way yesterday. It works pretty well. We could share projects we’re working on, tell stories, see each other’s faces and just be together. I use it on my iPad and my computer. You can also use it on a mobile phone.
If you want a tutorial go to this link:

If this interests you, I will be happy to figure out how to host a meeting and schedule one for you to attend. Please let me know it this is something you would like to try.
One of my goals is to get my photos organized!!! How long have I had this goal??? Don’t ask! Anyway, no excuses now - I have plenty of time. I’ll let you know how it’s going next time I write.
Love and miss you all!!!
Peggy and, of course, Cameo and Yakira
