Last night, our home was filled with family, friends, laughter, and so much love as we celebrated Max and Emily at their wedding shower.

Kristin and I feel incredibly blessed—not only by our children, but also by the wonderful people they have chosen to love and build their lives with. Watching Max and Emily begin this next chapter together fills our hearts with gratitude.

But my favorite moment came after the party ended.

We shuffled all the remaining guests outside.

Andrew and Samantha stayed behind on the dance floor — just the two of them — for a private final dance to Beyond by Leon Bridges.

After a night surrounded by everyone they love, they got a few minutes all to themselves.

Perfect ending. Perfect venue. Incredible night.

My first wedding at August Meadows — a beautiful outdoor venue with a great layout and an even better celebration.

A few highlights:

👏 MVP: Bridesmaid and wedding coordinator Jennifer. She wore two hats and crushed both.

☀️➡️🌳 The audible: When the California sun had other plans, we shifted the tables into the shade. Problem solved. Party on.

🔥 The dance floor: LIT. This group brought the energy and kept it there.

🎤 Special moment: LGFROMTHEBAY hit the stage and performed “We Outaide” — instant turn-up energy and the crowd went wild.

🎤 And one very important DJ note:

I LOVE BEING AN AUCTIONEER. 🎤💰

And nights like this are a big reason why.

🏔️ Back in Truckee for a return trip to the Lahontan Community Cup Auction — this time outdoors at the newly renovated lodge, overlooking the 18th green.

Beautiful setting. Incredible people. Great energy.

And the result? A RECORD NIGHT OF FUNDRAISING. 🙌

That’s what makes this work so rewarding. Yes, I love the energy of the live auction. But even more, I love helping organizations turn that energy into real dollars for their community.

And a special shoutout to my Sacramento families who make Lahontan home — the Keatons, Skredens, Beckwiths, McKinnons, Rankers…and the list goes on and on.

It’s always fun seeing familiar faces 100 miles from home.

I have had the privilege of celebrating hundreds of Bar and Bat Mitzvahs—but this was my first one in Cotati! 🎉

Nearly 100 miles from Sacramento, I made the trip to Congregation Ner Shalom to celebrate Haven Yarbrough’s Bar Mitzvah—and what a celebration it was!

The venue has a fascinating history of its own: the building has previously served as both a library and a cabaret. That’s definitely a first for me!

This celebration came to me through a referral from Missy Garvin, and I’m incredibly grateful for the connection. Referrals have taken me to some amazing people, memorable celebrations and—in this case—a brand-new city.

Mazel tov, Haven! Thank you to the Yarbrough family for allowing me to be part of such an important day.

Happy 50th to Erika and Rachel! 🎉 Traveled back in time tonight with the music and decorations for an epic birthday bash. This party had been in the making for a while, and it did not disappoint.

I’ve had the honor of DJing this family’s Mitzvahs over the years — watching their kids come of age. Now getting to celebrate the adults? Full circle moment. This is exactly why I love what I do. There’s always a reason to celebrate. 🎶🕺

✨ Another unforgettable celebration in the books! ✨

This weekend I had the privilege of traveling to San Ramon to celebrate Malina Berkowitz’s Bat Mitzvah, and what a night it was!

🗽 A fantastic New York City-themed celebration…
🎶 Great music.
💃 Packed dance floor.
🎉 Incredible energy from start to finish.

A huge thank you to event coordinator and longtime friend Pamela David for bringing me in to be part of another special family celebration. One of my favorite full-circle moments was seeing her kids again—especially Darian, whose Bat Mitzvah I had the honor of DJing all the way back in 2009. That’s some serious OG history! ❤️

It was also a pleasure working with the outstanding team at Canyon View Event Center. Beautiful venue, wonderful staff, and they helped make the evening run seamlessly.

And a big shout-out to Cheryl, who was behind the camera capturing all the memories throughout the night. 📸

Congratulations again to Malina and the Berkowitz family! Thank you for trusting me to be part of such an important milestone.
