New profile on the gallery published by Haus of Hite (https://www.hausofhite.com/carmelmodern). It’s great fun seeing a recap of several of the events we have had in the gallery over the past year. When I opened the gallery, I wanted it to be a gathering place for the arts, and obviously visual art is front and center, but we’ve also enjoyed book readings, poetry readings, artist interviews, and coming in September, concert performances.
I was reading an article in this month’s issue of The Atlantic, “The Color Recession May be Permanent” by Amogh Dimri. How we are all adopting gray - homes, interiors, cars - and psychologically how that makes us feel. At Carmel Modern, we celebrate color. There is an aura in the gallery that is palpable. We love it and hope you do as well.
