Congratulations to Lily and Alex for their fantastic performance with the Indiana Junior All State Band this morning, and to Mr. Herrick for his presentation to a packed room of young and future music educators at the IMEA conference entitled “How to Survive and Thrive in Your First Five Years.”

BIG WEEKEND for our Creekside Band Program!

In no particular order we had:

-8th Grader Abel Newkirk finished his season with the Carmel High School Marching Band! Abel performed on synthesizer in the front ensemble. The Marching Greyhounds finished their season at the BOA Grand National Championships in Lucas Oil Stadium winning the award for Outstanding Music and finishing in 3rd place overall! Congrats to Abel and all involved!

-10 students (Seoha Jeon, Srishti Senthilkumaran, William Jiang, Lily Blake, Mrithula Mahalingam , Vincent Chen, Huai-zheng Wu, Andrew Hall, Alexander Curry , and Sahaj Sharma) performed with the IBA All-Region Honor Band at Riverside Jr. High. These students rehearsed all day Saturday and performed a fantastic concert Sunday afternoon! This group was under the Purdue Fort-Wayne professor, Chris Dessent and was made up of grade 7-9 students from the surrounding area. Great job everyone!

-Our very own Wendy Rice conducted an IBA All-Region Honor Band at Penn High School! This was an extra special group for Mrs. Rice as one of the directors involved was Cami Roper, a former Creekside Band Member!

The Carmel Band Program, Carmel, IN, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Percussion Specialist to support our middle school band programs. This position involves instructing percussion students across our three middle schools, with a focus on developing their technical and musical skills.

Our Wildcats were busy this weekend!!

We are SO proud of our 2 8th graders that finished their season with the Carmel High School Marching Band this weekend at BOA Grand Nationals in Lucas Oil Stadium! Carmel placed 2nd out of 113 Bands from all around the country competing this weekend! Fantastic performances all weekend!! They also finished 2nd at ISSMA State Finals this past weekend! Thank you to our High School Directors for all their great work!

Creekside also had 15 7th and 8th graders perform with the IBA All-Region Honor Band at Riverside Junior High! The students practiced through Saturday and then performed their concert Sunday! Great music was made!

And finally, our very own Mrs. Rice conducted the All-Region Honor Band at Greensburg Community High School! Great job Mrs. Rice!!
