⏳ ONLY 1 DAY UNTIL THE WORLD PREMIERE ⏳

Indiana Ballet Conservatory is honored to feature beloved faculty member and accomplished former professional dancer Roman Nikiforov as Friar Laurence in Romeo & Juliet. ❤️🥀

A treasured member of the IBC faculty team, Roman Nikiforov brings decades of artistry, experience, and theatrical depth to this powerful role. Originally from the Russian Federation, Roman received prestigious Vaganova training and performed professionally with the Russian State Ballet of Moscow, Ballet Internationale, and more before dedicating himself to mentoring the next generation of dancers.

In Romeo & Juliet, Friar Laurence serves as the wise and compassionate mentor who hopes to bring peace between two feuding families 👉 setting into motion some of the story’s most emotional and unforgettable moments.

Known and loved by IBC students for his creativity, humor, and inspiring instruction, Roman’s presence on stage makes this production even more special for the entire IBC community. What a treat to have an artist of his stature share his talents with us!

⏳ ONLY 1 DAY UNTIL THE WORLD PREMIERE ⏳

As the excitement builds for tomorrow’s premiere of Romeo & Juliet, we are honored to introduce another extraordinary guest artist and IBC alumnus. ❤️🥀

Please welcome Ian Anderson-Conlon as Count Paris, Juliet’s noble and well-intentioned suitor whose presence adds tension, heartbreak, and complexity to Shakespeare’s timeless story.

Count Paris is often seen as the “perfect match” for Juliet in the eyes of her family: respected, wealthy, and honorable. But in a story driven by passion and fate, his role becomes an important reminder that love cannot be forced, making his character both tragic and deeply human.

Ian spent his pre-professional years training at Indiana Ballet Conservatory and now dances professionally with Louisville Ballet. His return to perform alongside the next generation of IBC dancers is a meaningful full-circle moment and a celebration of the incredible alumni legacy of Indiana Ballet Conservatory.

⏳ ONLY 1 DAY UNTIL THE WORLD PREMIERE ⏳

Tomorrow, Indiana Ballet Conservatory’s Romeo & Juliet takes the stage for the very first time - and we are thrilled to introduce one of our incredible guest artists returning home to IBC. ❤️🥀

Please welcome IBC alumnus Justin Hamilton as Tybalt Capulet, Juliet’s fiery cousin and one of Shakespeare’s most intense and unforgettable characters.

⚔️ Proud. Hot-tempered. Fiercely loyal.
Tybalt is known as the “Prince of Cats” for his sharp wit, explosive personality, and masterful sword fighting. His passion and impulsiveness help drive the drama of Romeo & Juliet, making him one of the ballet’s most thrilling roles to watch on stage.

Justin trained at Indiana Ballet Conservatory and now continues his dance training at Indiana University. We are so excited to welcome him back to the stage as part of this landmark production celebrating IBC’s 15th Anniversary Season.
