Carmel Art Institute The Carmel Art Institute, opened in 2011, is a center for artistic development.

The Institute works to create an atmosphere conducive to art education through art workshops, classes, and exhibitions. Located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, the Carmel Art Institute was founded in 2011. The surrounding landscape, rich in diversity from the rugged coast to its tranquil valleys, has served as an inspiration for decades to artist colonies whose roots still exist in the thriving

art community today. The historic location of the Carmel Art Institute bolsters the creative process through the beauty of the environment, accommodating weather and the foundation of a respected historic art colony, lending itself, naturally, to continue in artistic excellence. Instructors and students will find room to explore and expand their creative abilities within the institute and outdoors in the surrounding gardens, coastline, and valleys.
