this makes me so sad. and while i've never had an idea stolen by a large corporation... it still hurts when you find something original that you've painstakingly created, out in the universe under someone else's name. sharing in solidarity with all independent designers out there.

It sickens me to the gut, but it has finally happened... To the left of this pic is my bestselling card since 2008. We've exhibited it at the National Stationery Show since 2009, and more than once, Paper Source came by our booth to request samples of this particular card because they were "interested in potentially purchasing it." Well, they never did. But yesterday, I received an email blast from about their NEW Valentine's Day cards, featuring none other than what you see on the right. Coincidence? I think not.

** Friends, followers and likers, PLEASE REPOST if you support independent designers and the right to protect their work. Thank you thank you!**

I am asking for this favor not because I want to be compensated, but to raise awareness that this is not acceptable practice. As independent designers, we work hard to create our best, original work and it pains me to see artists and designers being ripped off by mass retailers without a second thought. Have you guys had similar experiences? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this...

absolutely, unequivocally yes. :)

I'm up to 3 marriage proposals now, and I still have about 2,000 emails to answer! lol Flattered gentleman, I really am, BUT I LIKE THE LADIES. ;)
But I do believe everyone has the right to be with whomever they want. I'll say it again... LOVE IS LOVE!!!
The past 72 hours have been insane... I'm still over here traveling in Asia (We do international weddings for a living), but have received countless emails, Facebook, messages and posts! I tried to reply to them all but its like trying to stop the tide with a bucket.
I have also received some horribly nasty, rude, vulgar messages too. I have received two death threats. And to the person who called my Mother at 1:00AM... you think I was rude to the client.... well just wait if I ever meet you.... No one messes with my momma!

But after all of this, if I had the choice, I would do it again. You may not have liked how I dealt with my (her choice) former client, but I made a stand. Love it or hate it, that's how I did it.
Some one sent me this graphic and I thought it was good for me personally. You don't have to be gay to help a fellow human being! I urge all companies to take a stand (how ever they see fit). Businesses have a choice on how they deal with customers. People have a choice too. If you hear someone say something ignorant around you STAND UP!!! Let your voice be heard. Don't think you can't make a difference, because you can. Be the change. Peace and love!

i understand that invitations and stationery aren't the biggest players in a wedding.. but it makes me sad that all the passion and effort we put into our work is so easily overlooked or forgotten. i guess as long as our couples are happy, that's all that matters.
