An invitation for Stage Directors -

The Red Wolves, a virtual devised theatre laboratory
Saturdays – May 2, 9, 16 from 1:00 – 2:30 EDT

There has been a lot of speculation about what is (and is not) possible for rehearsing and presenting devised theatre work virtually. We welcome you to join us for a three-part virtual laboratory - where we will generate work based on the process of “Fast & Dirty Online Devising” – developed by Carrie Klewin. A limited number of director participants will be invited to observe generative work sessions and provide feedback and direction for the third interactive session.

Carrie Klewin, a Madrid-based stage director has been directing, creating and teaching theatre virtually for the past 12 years. While she prefers live theatre, she is thrilled about the possibilities of theatrical endeavors in the virtual realm. www.carrieklewin.com

"St. Louis' Tesseract Theatre Company presented an Auburn, Ala., artist, Neil David Seibel, in his dazzling original piece, “Normal Giant.” Imaginatively staged with clever lighting to take the place of a set and to highlight the drama, “Normal Giant” tells the story of increasing tension between the people of Normal and the Giants, some of them in a nearby land and others who have lived in Normal since the beginning."
