𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙃 𝙄𝙉𝙆 𝙁𝙍𝙄𝘿𝘼𝙔

"The Story Behind the Four-Legged Sh****ng Goose

My best friend Rachel and I have been friends for nearly 40 years.

Back when we were in our early 20s, we were sitting in a restaurant at the mall, trying to nurse a hangover. Rachel has always had a sensitive stomach, so while ordering lunch she was giving the waitress a list of things she could and couldn't have. As the waitress started to walk away, Rachel called after her:

"And if you toast the bun... NO BUTTER!"

The waitress looked at us like we were completely insane, so Rachel tried to explain. "I can't have dairy. I'll s**t like a goose."

The restaurant had their tables covered in paper and crayons, so while we waited for our food, I started doodling. Rachel looked over and asked, "What are you drawing?"

I replied, "It's you. A s**tting goose." She stared at it for a second and asked, "Why does it have four legs?" I said, “They do, don’t they?!” Rachel shook her head and said, "Um, no babe. Just two."

From that day on, whenever one of us really had to go, we say, "I have to s**t like a four-legged goose." A normal person might have forgotten that joke after a few weeks. We carried it with us since.

When we finally decided to get matching tattoos, I sent Rachel as close to the original goose design as possible. Her response was, "I think it needs a cape."

And that cape has its own story.

As we've gotten older, life has thrown plenty of challenges our way. Through all of it, we've always had each other to lean on. We're also both a little crazier than most people and have spent years joking that when life gets especially chaotic, we'd better start designing the straightjackets we'll wear in the padded rooms we're eventually going to end up in.

But plain has never been our style. And so over the years we have decided our straightjackets would be paisley.

That's why our Four-Legged Sh****ng Goose wears a paisley cape.

What started as a hangover, a confused waitress, and a terribly inaccurate drawing of a goose became a friendship tradition. This tattoo isn't just a joke. It's a reminder of a lifetime of laughter, inside jokes, crazy conversations, surviving hard times together, and having someone who has always been there through every chapter of life.

And honestly, if you're going to have a mascot for a 40-year friendship, a paisley-caped four-legged s**tting goose seems absolutely perfect.🪿❤️"
