Meet the recipients of the 2026 Artist Grant Program. The Artist Grant is intended to support the ex*****on of a project or a growing artist's creative practice. We want to fund artists and works that are at an inflection point, in order to help bring the work or artist into the next phase of growth.
The application process is competitive and the selection process thoughtful. Here are abbreviated project proposals.
From left to right: Soozie Lindbloom would like to create a massive puppet show for the community.
Alissa Davies plans to create a line for the 2027 fashion show based on her sculptural "pods."
Nori Pao is searching for a larger studio space and is working on a project called "Stone Stories" based on human fascination with rocks.
Rachael Gillespie will create a locally-inspired cookbook in collaboration with her sister.
Riven Badgett places to create a performing arts production featuring artists from the valley whose work explores what it means to be human.
Sarah Rosenthal will undergo a self-directed artist residency focused on stone carving, and documented through a self-published zine with profiles of well known local stone carvers. .rosie.art
