The weekend isnt over but we dont stop here at the Corn Fish camp. Last night Kyle Tuttle, and Arkansause live. Myself as well as the Kyle Tuttle Band will be performong at the Grateful Headz Bluegrass Festival from Oct. 22nd thru Oct. 24th. at Rocky River Resort in Donaphin MO. What a great weekend this last weekend with my set at Mo Roots Music Festival gaining some serious props from my favorite people and some new fans sporting some new Corn Fish swag! The energy and support was special! Cant wait for next years show! What a fun evening on friday night as the crew all took turns jaming around for Captain Dicks Super Jam lol Rich Fleetwood your the man! Loved the captains hat brother! Then on Saturday I got invited to First City Music Festival in Indiana. So we made the pilgrimage over there Saturday morning to visit Jeff Deckard and crew for the evening. Getting to see back to back sets from Moon Shroom was a treat. Then fireside jams with the band got hot and heavy as we tore up some jams by the fireside. Mathew Evens from Swamp Boys, a couple members of Moon Shroom and myself had some seriously good times playing some good music together. The vocal harmonies we pulled off were super sick! And the guitar playing was on point as we passed around who led the tunes. Next stop for the Corn Fish cronicles Hillberry Music Festival in Eureka Springs Arkansas! Stay tuned for more! And dont forget to get your tickets for the Grateful Bear Blue Grass Festival october 22nd thru 24th! As the festivities open with as set from yours truly Sam "Corn Fish" McKinnies! See you there! What a great time at Mo Roots Music Festival as i opened up the weekend with a set of music. Most of my media was not usable due to a recording error but someone captured this cover of the Red Clay Strays - Still Fine. One of only 3 covers i played that set. Love the group of amazing people who are involved with this festival and im so honored to be asked to perform at the festival built by the musicians and for the musicians. A who's who of the St Louis and South East Mo. musicians were there performing this weekend. To be included in this is a huge step forward and a major honor for me. Hope to come back next year!

Today, on the Corn Fish Cronicles, we find ourselves at our home festival on our 13th year of Sugar Creek Music Festival . I know if you have met me at other places I always say come play in my back yard and thanks for letting me come play in yours. This is the festival I talk about. From the first time we put on the show til this very day 13 years and a lot of growing later here we are. Guess who came to hang out in our back yard this year. Our honored and ever so kind and special guest Mr Jason Hann from the notorious group known as The String Cheese Incident. Before flying out to maracco we were blessed to have Jason come out and give a hand drum workshop, as well as bless us with a set of music as he played dj for us having a great time the whole time. Hes such a fun and pleasant person. Thanks for the fun ... hey the weekend isnt over ... this is saturday night ... and there are more things to come here at Sugar Creek ... Come out and see us will ya!

Well guys as much as I like to love humanity, sometimes people truly disappoint me. Upon return we notice that a bag of our clothes are missing. In addition to that ... A bag that was tucked inside under the bed of my camper that was covered in my logo. This bag was full of murch for my show. It has my logo on all sides. A few irreplaceable custom tye dye t shirts worth hundreds of dollars at the murch stand ... coozies ... lighters ... stickers ... more reasonably priced t shirts ... all gone ... it just didnt walk away ... it was removed from its cubby hole and taken away. ... So ... be it I have a great faith in my true community, may I have some ideas to replace it because im seriously tapped out here. There was a considerable personal investment made to make that bag of murch happen. ... some of my nicer clothes were taken as well .... so my professional put together looks are gone as well.... expensive rare t shirts and pants ... I lost alot from this one folks. About 2 grand worth of clothes and murch gone. ... so ... what can we do aboit that? ... ideas my fishy friends?
