This Saturday May 16th, The Harry Crisp Ampetheatre Marion IL. 12pm til 5pm. I am proud to be participating in an event promoting wellness of mind, body, and spirit at the holistic health music festival. I have been invited to perform my original compositions that address universal themes. The event will feature performances by Southern Illinois artists from noon to 5pm, who will entertain while supporting worthy causes and showcasing regional programs.

Remember to go home for mom today and see yours. Mine was a hero to me. She passed away as a nurse at the scene of an accident. She and my father stopped to help a man who had run off the road and hit a power pole, dropping a power line across the car. She saved a baby in the back seat and took him away from harm in his car seat. The man driving had a massive head wound, and my father was holding him down as he yelled 'baby,' calming him down while my mother saved the child from the situation. She came back across the street to tend to the man as a nurse for 28 years, a highly trained skilled care nurse with loads of experience and great under pressure. She started to attend to him. Then tragedy struck. The power line arched, and she was the closest thing to ground. The electric shock killed her instantly, right there on the spot. She saved three lives: the baby, the driver, and my father, from that electrical discharge. She died a hero, having saved everyone else but herself from the horrific situation. She was given an armed guard at her casket and a funeral guard of armed police, as she was a nurse at the Anna Correctional Facility. She was given an honor guard and sent out like a true hero. I sang her favorite song by her side at her casket. I will never forget my mother's charm, wit, warmth, grace, poise, and beauty, inside and out. You only get one mom. Be with her today if you can. Last night's show at The Butternut Hut right in front of the capital building in down town Springfeild IL. Was a great time! I got joined for half the night by Mr. Jim Conry from Old Shoe. The crowd was hot the energy was high and the night was full of good vibes and good folks. Thanks Zack Eymann for throwing down some harmonica as well!
