Hello guys and gals!
It's been a while since we've given an update on our candle craze about going all-natural so here's a post all about it. Feel free to sit back, relax, and don't stress too much, it won't be long now.
Yes, our candles are going to change MASSIVELY. We're changing the way we color and fragrance our candles to make them all-natural. We will be using essential oils instead of any sort of artificial fragrances from here on out. We've started our endeavor to find the perfect essential oil blends to use for our candles and rewriting our fragrances' recipes accordingly. The pricing for essential oils is drastically different for each type so some lineup changes will have to be made, i.e. we used to use chamomile fragrance oil in our Peace, Calm, and Tranquility (PCT) candle but we will no longer be able to do so as the essential oil costs THIRTY times the artificial fragrance oil. Instead, we will be using some other type of essential oil to cover the fragrance spectrum provided by the chamomile, if necessary.
Additionally, we thought it'd be much safer if we discontinued the use of the (even harsher for the human body) artificial dyes that we were using. This may mean that our candles will only be available in natural color, until we've found an all-natural way to dye them. According to every bit of research we've done on such things, no dye strong enough to color wax efficiently that is from all-natural sources exists. This experiment may take even longer than our "refragrancing" process so we've decided to call it to a halt until we can produce candles again.
