What is The River House?

The River House is a participatory, non-profit community-based arts and music venue. Located in an historic building on the banks of the Cacapon River, the program calendar includes live musical performances, art classes, community gatherings and open work space. In addition to group-based activities, local artists enjoy a venue for demon

strating and selling their work. And a unique menu of pastries, and drinks (including espresso, beer and wine) are available. OUR MISSION:

Our BLT just got an upgrade. Introducing "The Local!" Bacon from Farmer's Daughter, lettuce from Spring Valley, tomatoes from Peter's garden, and Duke's Mayonnaise! You can add Jess's sweet and tangy pickles for a little extra kick!

The River House café is open Thursday-Sunday 11am-3pm with extended hours for evening events (like open mic tomorrow, or Jess Estienne and Shenan Hahn Music's concert on Saturday)!

🪕 Hear Murphy's Bluegrass Bandits play traditional and modern bluegrass covers, as well as originals at the Folks Like Us Jamboree on Saturday, September 19th!

Featuring 5-string banjo, guitar, fiddle, bass, lead and close harmony vocals, the group plays traditional and modern bluegrass covers as well as original songs. The Bandits are led by Murphy Hicks Henry, a long-time professional performer and nationally known bluegrass music teacher. Murphy's daughter Casey will be sitting in on guitar for their set, too!
