I built this set of bunk beds in the shop and then assembled everything inside the client’s home.

A project like this really comes down to preparation—once you’re on site, everything needs to fit the way you planned it.

There’s no “figuring it out” once it gets here—everything has to be right before install.

That’s the part most people never see.

This walk on the South Loop at Sitka Sedge State Natural Area started with something easy to miss.

The tide was coming in, and from one side of the d**e the water looked completely still.
On the other side, it was moving fast through a narrow culvert—same water, just forced through a different space.

The rest of the loop winds through wetlands, forest, and out to the dunes where the ocean finally comes into view, with Cape Lookout to the north and Cape Kiwanda to the south.

A quiet walk with a lot going on if you pay attention.

Out on the South Loop at Sitka Sedge State Natural Area and the tide was doing something subtle.

Still water on one side.
Current pushing hard on the other.

Same place. Same moment. Completely different feel.

This wasn’t anything unusual—these birds are out here all the time.

The interesting part is how easy it is to walk right past them without ever noticing.

Most of this walk was quiet, slow, and uneventful… which is exactly why I like it.

Spent some time walking a quiet stretch of the Tillamook County coast and ended up finding a few agates along the way.
