We had a great time Sat. Sept. 27 at the USS LST 325 in Cape Girardeau docking.

We were honored to be aboard the historic USS LST 325 this weekend as it visited Cape Girardeau. Built during World War II, this remarkable Landing Ship Tank carried troops, vehicles, and supplies onto the beaches of Normandy and later served in the Mediterranean and Pacific. Today, it stands as the last fully operational LST of its kind—a living piece of history that continues to inspire.

On Saturday and Sunday, we had the privilege of welcoming guests, sharing stories, and posing for photos on deck. We are deeply grateful to the LST-325 crew for allowing us to be part of this special visit, and to our community for turning out to honor this symbol of courage and sacrifice. You still have an opportunity to take a tour all day tomorrow (Mon. Sept. 29). Don’t miss it!!!
