Aaron spent most of today coordinating panels 4 and 5 of the STARS & STRIPES MURAL. The images, colors and folds in the waving flag must match up closely. This is vital to making the mural look as good as possible. Very time consuming and also very rewarding.

A “Big Thank You!” to all the thousands of painters who painted triangles! And a “Big Thank You!” also to the wonderful people and businesses who assisted us in getting this patriotic mural paid for!!

We still have a lot of work to do … including professionally photographing the 5 panels and having them replicated and mounted on the front of the ‘Big Red Barn’ on the STARS & Stripes property.

We had a great time at the Cape Girardeau Public Library this afternoon.

We will be there with one of the Blues Hwy panels. Visitors can each paint one triangle in celebration of Hwy 61 turning 100 years old.

The Cape Girardeau Public Library is inviting you to its Backyard Barbeque Kickoff this Saturday from Noon to 3PM…on the library’s back lawn on North Clark Street. This free event will feature games, food, live entertainment, prizes, and painting…all designed to bring the community together…and celebrate America’s 250th birthday…along with the Carnegie library legacy…and the start to an action-packed summer of reading and programs.
