Congratulations to Freshman Gustavo da Rocha for winning a position with the 2026 WASBE Youth Wind Orchestra. He won this position from a pool of international application. He will be performing at the WASBE conference in Rio de Janeiro this summer. Bravo!!

GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT! Kylie Mitchell is a music education major who plays euphonium. Kylie was the baritone section leader in the marching band in 2023. In the fall, Kylie will be the general music teacher at East Prairie Middle and Elementary Schools. Good luck, Kylie!

Celebrating INTERNATIONAL TUBA DAY by ending the semester with a tremendous Wind Symphony concert (and a piece written by our own Sophomore Keaton Lacey!) and recognizing the progress of the studio this semester. Between marching at Lucas Oil, performing at MMEA, performing a studio recital, brass ensemble concert, and all the Jazz, orchestra, and wind symphony concerts.. Everyone rose to the occasion this year. Well done.
