The band creates their original music together and takes great pride in the works that they create. Life experiences are poured into every verse, and chorus. The music is built upon a solid foundation of varying musical styles that the six members bring to the group. The band concentrates on original music, but routinely offers three or four hour rock shows that include many popular rock and

blues covers. The Collective thrives in a live music setting. Every performance is treated professionally. The songs form with Lyrical power- built on a solid foundation of a wide array of varying musical styles between the 5 members- Songs written from raw emotion, that capture the very essence of the human condition. The Collective is:

The Time has come..... To introduce a New Chapter!

Former The Collective Frontman Matt Hannam, and Drummer Paul Marshall debut their new Acoustic Duo, Another Era.

Another Era, based in Ft Myers FL, is a Red-Dirt Southern Rock Duo comprised of Matt Hannam (Lead Vocals/Acoustic Guitar) and Paul Marshall (Drums/Percussion), Founding Members of The Collective Band (2015-2025)- whom have shared stages as Direct Support with some of the biggest names in Music (Fuel/Filter/Everclear/Buckcherry to name a few).

Matt’s powerful, emotional driven Songwriting combined with the Percussion and Effects of Paul Marshall round out the sound of this Acoustic Duo as they continue to explore the very essence of the Human Condition, performing Acoustic Versions of their popular songs from a decade- Long tenure writing and performing together in The Collective, and re-imagined covers. They will be Performing Limited Shows, and eventually writing and recording new material in the future.

As they Say, Nothing Great lasts forever…

The time has come for The Collective to bid farewell, after an amazing Decade together.

We made the decision together, that continuing forward has become untenable;
Life changes so very fast… and with life changing (in a positive way) for members of our Camp and their subsequent departure, we felt that The level of songwriting, musicianship, and excellence our fans have come to expect simply could not be matched by recreating our lineup and continuing, so, the painful yet necessary decision was made.

We part, on excellent terms with love for each other and absolutely zero drama or animosity. This decision was mutual, and made out of respect to each other and our dedicated fans.

When Matt and I founded The Collective in late 2014ish, we both had a vision to create heartfelt, driven songs that explored the Human Condition, and were fortunate to form a group of Musicians that became Brothers and did exactly that; and we have been able to reach and touch so many people, still continuing to receive emails daily from listeners expressing how we have touched their soul or helped them through a difficult time. We are grateful to be a part of so many lives.

We have performed soooo many great shows, performing alongside some of the biggest artists in the world, to some of the craziest little dive bars in the Region. Every show, every note- Together, Always.

We will certainly miss seeing our fans and familiar faces at our shows, however, All of our work will remain an indelible mark in this life for us that we are proud to have made, and we hope you will continue to “push play”.
