The childhood immunization laws DeSantis Republicans are trying to eliminate have saved countless lives. Physicians and medical experts are being muzzled by universities, who don’t want to lose their state funding.

We need more doctors to end their silence and speak out forcefully against this.

From the article: “Many critics of the decision, including doctors, are afraid to speak up against it…Health officials have largely been silent in the face of Ladapo’s campaign — and not because they agree with him. The University of Florida muzzled infectious disease experts, said emeritus professor Doug Barrett, formerly the university’s chief of pediatrics and senior vice president for health affairs.

“They’re told not to speak to anyone without permission from supervisors,” he said. University spokespeople didn’t respond to requests for comment.

County-level Department of Health officials across the state got the same message, said John Sinnott, a retired professor at the University of South Florida who is friends with one of the county health leaders.

“Ladapo’s department is ending mandates for shots against hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Early next year, the Florida Legislature is expected to take up reversal of a 1977 law requiring kids at school and day care to be vaccinated against seven other diseases that can kill children: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.”

There are no words strong enough to fully express the gratitude we feel right now. Because of your support Sugar Belle is alive.

In a disturbing case of cruelty, six-month-old Sugar Belle was left to die, abandoned at a construction site in Mississippi covered in hundreds of ticks, starving and suffering from mange. People walked past her everyday. They saw her and they kept going. What struck us as the most disturbing was that a chain was wrapped around her neck, a haunting reminder that she was once owned.

With your help, we rushed her to a critical care hospital and gave her the fighting chance she never had before.

Doctors worked tirelessly to remove hundreds of engorged ticks from her ears, face, and body. The bath she was in was colored red from all the blood. She’s been dewormed, treated for fleas, and started on powerful IV antibiotics. She’s receiving daily medicated baths to help soothe her burning, infected skin.

Bloodwork confirmed she’s anemic, but thankfully, not yet at the point of needing a transfusion. Her medical team will continue monitoring her PCV levels over the next 48 hours. She’ll remain hospitalized until she’s strong enough to safely move into foster care.

Through it all, every poke, every treatment, every bath, Sugar Belle is showing us that she knows. she’s safe. She knows she’s not invisible anymore. Her eyes are no longer full of defeat they are full of trust.

Sugar Belle’s journey is far from over. Her skin will take weeks, maybe months to repair. But we are committed to her every step of the way.

If you didn’t think trump was in bed with Putin before, believe it now. He just got rid of Voice of America which broadcasts all over the work in all different languages so that people in authoritarian regimes can learn the truth of what is happening. Russia/Putin and Chairman Xi are openly celebrating this and they have taken over those airwaves with their propaganda so that their people will never hear anything they don’t want them to hear.This is what trump is trying to do here by shutting down MSNBS, CBS,NBC,ABC,PBS,NPR News and any who do not solidly promote him and his agenda. It’s right out of the dictators handbook. Guys, you may not like other news networks or agree but our country has free speech and a free press…..when that get taken away, we are done. You should not be for that if you still call yourself an American or a patriot.
