Hey check out my name tag! Thanks City of San Diego, I am wearing this everywhere from now on! So happy to have one of my works in the collection of the City of San Diego, now on view at The work is in great company, with 100 other pieces acquired from amazing San Diego based artists. The purchase was made possible by a generous bequest by art collector Thomas Rasmussen to support local artists during the pandemic. I am so grateful to him and all the lovely people behind the scenes who made it possible, with a special shoot out to who patiently answered all of my emails over several months 😬
Lemons, Jewels, Sugar 2019 was made in collaboration with as part of The Department of Things collective, and masterfully printed by at
Thanks so much to everyone involved!
And look! Even our awesome mayor was there!

When your exposure unit isn’t quite big enough for your screen it’s time to unload the bookshelves! Nathaniel Klein is back in the studio today as part of our contactless program, working on some printed textiles for a collaboration with several other artists and poets.

Getting creative with our set up for shooting some very large prints for the last few days! I took the neck of an old tripod and used gaffers tape to attach it to the cantilever base of our primary one. Rig worked great, just made sure the shutter speed was fast enough to compensate for any extra vibration from extending the neck out this far. Feel like I got a thorough schooling in screenprinting by shooting USD’s entire collection of prints!! Thanks for assisting with the giant ones!

Sending off this special edition of for ’s annual fundraising gala! These prints will be part of gift packages for donors, and we’ll be participating in the event on November 21st with a virtual print demo and video tour of our studio. We love HPAC’s mission of bringing art to south-side Chicago and their commitment to supporting emerging artists in the city β€” very happy to be part of this great event! The gala is open to everyone this year thanks to the virtual format and access to the programming is donate-what-you-can.
I’ll also be creating an edition of larger versions of these prints for sale on our website soon with a portion of proceeds going to HPAC, stay tuned!
